"Someone" taken over phone line so Internet cancelled...HELP

Hey,

Need some help...will try keep it short.

I have (well, Dad has) 2 lines in a business...1 of which is used for broadband/wifi.

Today, no Internet access so phone up to be told its because phone line is cancelled.

Phone up telephone provider to be told "someone" has requested the line to be taken over. This isn't a mistake or any error on our part. Now being told it'll be 14/28 days to get the service back on (we are a hotel/holiday apts so letting down around 200+ people...wet his is our busiest month of the year and we're fully booked!).

Refusing to say who (person or provider) is attempting to take over the line (apparently its currently "floating" around and doesn't belong to anyone).

Anyone with experience in this industry have any idea where to go with this...

Thanks!
