Nationwide mortgage - what's next and how long?

I've had a pretty good experience with Nationwide
Offer accepted: 18 October
Mortgage Application: 19 October
Mortgage Approved: 25 October
I'm a FTB with a buy to save account and getting a 95% mortgage so was expecting this to take a while but they seem to have done this really quickly for me0 -
Applied on 19th October, valuation was the 23rd and we've been told it should be approved within the next 48 hours. Phew!
Also a FTB with a 80% mortgage.Outstanding Debt at 01/01/2020
2.09% Mortgage - £93,851.54
#33 Emergency Fund Challenge - £5400/£54000 -
This whole process is so slow and annoying. It started of bright we passed the credit checks and were offered £100,000 more than what we wanted. Also they offered us a lower pay back time scale. But as soon as we handed over the fee money it all went a bit wobbly.
Application received 17 oct 2012
Satisfactory valuation 19 nov 2012
now waiting on answer...
Few points to note - They have asked for the same pay slip and p60 3 times (Super annoying)
They keep trying to sell u Home and life insurance, sic we keep telling them we already have.0 -
FWIW lenders use cheap mortgage rates to get borrowers through the door, then use comparatively poor, expensive insurance products to make their profit.
There are plenty of suckers out there who think it's a good idea to take them up on their "all under one roof" offer...I am a mortgage broker. Hi peeps,
First time buyer (joint) here, we havent a clue what we are doing and tbh our broker hasnt been very helpful
I just wondered about timings with nationwide and if our application is likely to be accepted (i dont see the point of agreement in principal, if it could still go wrong after youve paid fees etc) but anyways.
Full apllication was submitted 19th February by our broker, we got a text on 22nd february saying they had our full application and would be in touch.
Do they tell us when survey has been done and then when theyve done there credit checks etc ?
Does anyone know how long etc?
thanks

Chase them up about the survey. My application went in 31/01 but the survey wasn't done until 21/02 and that was only because I rang and pestered them for it!0

Who do i chase? Nationwide or my broker at connells?
I hate all this waiting :!0 -
We had out mortgage application appointment on the 21st January and still no offer
the valuer made a mistake and said the house has been underpinned, he's admitted his mistake and i've seen the revised valuation but there are some loose ends it caused that need to be tied up but i've been told we should get it in a day or so.
Its looking to be about 6 weeks which i don't think is too bad
I've always chased the Nationwide mortgage advisor - not sure about yours but ours gave me her email and mobile number0 -
Our timeline began yesterday when we made the application, now the waiting game begins! We are first time buyers and used the Save to Buy account, hoping for 90% LTV. We were declined in principle for that amount so have had to increase our deposit to make the LTV up to 87.5%. To get the house we've had an offer accepted on we'll need to borrow the very maximum we were approved in principle for... Not feeling very hopeful at the moment! It's reassuring to hear from others in the same/similar boat though

Yes i too am playing the waiting game with nationwide. Not sure what the hold up is with them at the moment, my broker has chased them up a few times and theyre not waiting for any oustanding information, ive spoken to them directly myself too. Pain! Got no choice but to wait im afraid and hope for the best...Trainee Building Surveyor
