Best top up card?

We're going to Euro disney early next year. We're hoping to take about £1500- £2000 with us as we're driving so will need to fill up abroad and heard it is very expensive. I'm not comfortable carrying that much so best bet is a top up card I take it? Promised myself no more credit cards after spending far too much time being a debt free wannabe on this site. Which is the best card and which is the best for changing any money back as chances are it will be a while until our next holiday?

Instead of worrying about changing excess money back to £, why not get a card that keeps the money in £ until you perform a transaction, and only then converts it to the foreign currency.
