There appears to be shill bidding going on too!

The seller opened their ebay account on 19 Feb and has a feedback total of 4. One of the bidders opened theirs on 11 Feb (just 8 days before his/her "friend?"). This bidder has a feedback of 2 and has bid on five (and won 2) of the sellers auctions (and has left glowing feedback "Wow spent £10 got £160" and "Yet another brilliant purchase - £135"). Plus oddly enough - THE SELLER AND TWO WINNING BIDDERS ALL LIVE IN THE SAME AREA - CORNWALL!!! What a coincidence!!!!

The seller has 17 of these auctions on ebay at the moment, with a total of 75 bids ranging from £4.60 to £31:eek:. I know that some people can be a bit daft and that anyone can behave foolishly at times, but I am shocked at just how guilable the current bidder's appear to be! It's really sad!

I've just reported the seller to ebay. I hope they act fast, (as the bids are ever increasing) but I won't hold my breath!

I see one of his buyers, coincidentally also from the same place, has been selling mystery boxes and mystery "socks" where you bid for unknown items. They certainly like their mystery items down in Cornwall, but looking at the bidding it looks like there are plenty of gullible people out there.

I will ashamedly own up to buying mystery items NOT FROM EBAY but worse from one of those dodgy sales where people rent an empty shop unit. In my defence I was only in my late teens and with my daft mother (who shouldn't be allowed out alone) we got carried away with people who buying mystery boxed items and bought two each. You had to take them away unopended (duh) and my mum was sure she had a mini telly in one of her boxes. We opened them at the bus stop and to be fair we laughed all the way home - we had a multi slicer each, I had a vase, and she had a water damaged radio alarm clock. Luckily enough we only spent around £10 each there were people there spending a lot more. For us it ended up being a funny story but perhaps not for others.
  • Cor I saw one of those sales the other day in Nottingham city centre, I thought they went out with the ark LOL
I can remember going in one, and hubby grabbing hold of my arm saying don't move a muscle LOL

surely the seller is making a loss if theyre putting over a hundred quid onto each card and selling them for £10, £16, £35, but then they know the buyer and theyre building theyre feedback

What i want to know is how someone can leave feedback 8 mins after end of auction to say that they had 5 times their money back.

They must live next door to woolworths and the seller for it to be possible.

    i doubt it somehow

A few more fake people agreeing to buy and then leaving negative feedback will probably end this sellers eBay days :)

In his listing he says he can't check the vouchers due to location so Woolworths must have built a store in the last few days because his mate
was able to get to his house colllect the voucher then go to woolworths all
    in 8 minutes. :rotfl:

If the fact that it only took 8 minutes from auction ending wasn't enough, it was at 8.45 pm on a Saturday as well. Woolies obviously opens later there than my local one.
