Dylan and Scruff the kittens

Well, they look full of mischief!! Can't understand it when it is said that people avoid black and white cats. I think they're lovely x0

all the kittens were black and white at the rehoming centre we went to, we weren't bothered by the colour, the boy (Dylan) was my OH's immediate choice, the girl took her longer to think about, but having two is great watching them play together etc. Dylan is a proper live wire bouncing around and into everything.0

I like the idea of the chicken wings, sounds like a good treat, I assume you cook them first and the bones are OK for a cat.
OK we may try the wet food at some point, but the kittens have eaten very well today so fingers crossed. Our choice was a two fold decision for our dog, tinned food was too rich / digestive problems and in fairness the 17 year old dogs teeth are in very good condition considering his age so we may need to reconsider for the kittens.
Second litter tray now installed, kittens have paid a great deal of interet so hopefully the toilet problem may be sorted, we continue with the wood pellets for a while as thats what they are used to.
DO NOT cook the chicken wings! The bones will splinter and may kill your cat. Give one each every week raw.
You cannot feed kittens on a completely dry diet, especially not male kittens. They can't take in enough water to properly digest it.
It might be easier for you but it's not for them, and cats are not dogs.0 -

Nooooo I said raw bone! Cooked is dangerous because it splinters, felines evolved to chew and digest raw meat and raw bones. Check these little carnivores out

When I partially raw fed I bought a pack of Value chicken wings, jointed them, used poultry shears to cut the two large parts in half then froze on a baking sheet before bagging. That way I could take out a portion at a time, nice fresh meat, and the 'tasty' flesh and marrow were already revealed. I wasn't sure Noah would take to it but he practically flew across the room when I opened the first pack! :rotfl: The dog can have this too if you wish.
Fingers crossed the new tray does the trick, do let us know how you get on. The kittens are lucky to have been adopted by you!!

I said that on another thread.

the second litter tray seems to have done the trick.
they are no eating better since we moved the food trays, they are eating about 60-90g of Hills, 30g of Nutricat and a small dish of cat milk. They have also tried cheese and tuna (the tuna lasted seconds)
still no real audible meow / purr from scruff, just a quiet squeak, but she seems happy enough and has now started instigating the play fights with her brother.0 -
when i had a brother and sister cats, the boy had a real deep rumble of a purr and a pathetic high pitch squeal of a meow, the girl had a really soft quiet purr and a really ear splitting meow!Cats don't have owners - they have staff!!

the kittens had their second injection today and were micro chipped. Dylan really squealled when they put the chip in (not nice) Scruff was as good as gold. Dylan must have been upset as he had an accident in his travel basket. Both are now feeling sorry for themselves. Dylan will be going back to the vets soon for neutering, Scruff in a month or so.0

Glad to hear the second litter tray worked.
Well done for getting them microchipped! Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0 -
Dylan is proving to be a live wire and at some point I guess he'll escape to the big outdoors no matter how hard we try (we are trying to make sure there are 2 shut doors between him and the outside), at least with the chip he can be traced if needed, I was just surprised at the size of the needle for a small cat.0
