Child benefit claim - sending original documents

hi, CBO (child benefit office) will not accept verified copies of anything, by all means if you feel uneasy about sending originals in , you could send copies in but you will receive a letter from cbo asking for originals and at that point an extra 12 week time scale will be added to your claim, if your child was born abroad i can only imagine the time scale will already be up to 26 weeks for the claim to be processed.0
