Just one piece of advice if you're ever tempted to try a jigsaw.

Make sure you and he play to the same rules.

You didn't realise there were 'rules' for jigsaw puzzles?

Obviously everyone does the frame first, but then what? I do it the way nature intended, getting 'clumps' together and trying to work out where to ATTACH them (note that word ATTACH!) I do like to look at the picture from time to time.

DH, on the other hand, picks out individual 'interesting' pieces, and hogs the picture so that he can work out exactly WHICH piece this is, and where it goes. Seriously, individual pieces, which he then carefully places on the board, with great pride, saying "this bit must go about there". And I am supposed to work round these single pieces, and not move them! All the while not being allowed to look at the picture to work out where MY clumps go.

Recipe for peace, love and harmony, NOT.

There are also people who believe you look at the picture once, before you start, and then you don't look at it again. Weird, or what ...
