Ok, does it wear smooth or roughen up?? sorry don't get that.

Don't get me wrong, I've seen cars that have been used in quarry environments and the screens are "matt" to say the least. Sand blasted to be honest:eek:

BUT, you would see any damage before it sounded.
The new blades we fitted to a car that didn't squeak before did afterwards, even tho they were quality aeroblades, explain that away.;)
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

What do you think is in the polish that runs water off your windscreen?.
some sort of polymer or something, although im no detailing expert the way I see it there is

wax, a protective coating a sacrificial layer if you wish.

polish a polyme3r compound that microscopically fills the defects in the paint serface

cutting compound fine to coarse abrasive used to flatten the orange peel after painting a car.
According to the detailers polish contains abrasives. I dont know its all black magic to me

tiny little stone chips in the surface of a windshield is what I would call wear
but I think he means wear in the plastic clip letting the blade vibrate

No idea? Polish whats that? Does it come naturally in rain water?

I try to avoid washing my car, The rain does a decent job. If its not raining then i think of the dirt as sunblock :)
dirt is like sandpaper if you ran your !!!! along the side it will show up nicely when you do decide wash it

blades squeak because they're coming to the end of their useful life, of course i assume you're talking about squaking while wet (it;s normal to squak when dry).

just replace them, requires replacing every year or so, you can get a full set for £12 for most car models from gsf car parts on ebay.

Not always, as I explained the damned expensive ones we bought did it from new.

I have had decent quality ones that have done it from new as well. I think the problem is more than just quality.
I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o
