    Thanks router info is:
    System Details
    Manufacturer Sagemcom
    Model Number F@ST2504n
    Firmware Version 5.23.1a4N
    ADSL Firmware Version A2pD030n.d23b

I googled port forwarding and tried to have a go but got stuck.

I do have one other phone socket, do I need to put filter on there too.

Depends on how your extension is set up.

If the extension is hard-wired into, or plugged directly into, the master socket, a filter is required in all sockets. Router may be plugged into any filter (for best performance it is recommended you plug router into master socket)

If the extension is plugged into a filter at the main socket, no filter is required at the extension. Router may only be plugged into the filter at master socket.
How do I add a signature?

Just checked and the upstairs phone isn't a socket phone just a cordless phone plugged into electric socket for power, so this shouldn't affect xbox broadband at all should it?

    Back to square 1.
