Thank you. I think DFW is like some sort of therapy for me - it's like my sanity - is that just madness????????? I suppose whatever floats ur boat...JUST DO IT ONE BRICK AT A TIMEPROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSWeekly Budget: groceries£50/petrol£50/Unnecesary£15DEBT PAID = 58% (£4,212/£8216):T0

Hi jet77, sorry, maybe you didn't need to be in tears tonight, oh dear!
I think Martin's helpers will be very helpful if you explain the circumstances.
I know exactly what you mean about DFW therapy. I was down in the dumps before I logged on here tonight and I've spent he past 30 mins laughing my head off in the DMP Supporters Club - I couldn't do it without all of you guys, and I really do mean that. Letters, phonecalls, defaults, credit files... it would all be too much without the support and advice of everyone on here.
Now think of how much fun you're going to have picking a new username :TMember #4 of the DMP Mutual Support Club - DFW Nerd #335

so sorry to bring this back but yes I have regretted telling a colleague that I use this board because my username is my initials and i feel my anonymity is exposed. especially as i am his line manager. he just told me that he is an avid user and saver!! and i am a debtor!!
and i want to tell my student daughter about the board, but again, feel exposed because of my username.
whilst it is quite nice to be the first alphabetically listed user (these really are my initials!) i would prefer some anonymity and wonder how i can change my username??
many thanks0 -

I've told a couple of friends about this Board, and have wondered whether or not they'd work out that 'ukpam2000' was the Pam they knew. But..... I'm a closet debtor, and I haven't told anyone about the debt I've been in / am clearing etc. On the outside, I look really 'together' and none of them know any of my financial horrors. I'd think if either of those friends even read any of ukpam2000's posts, they just wouldn't associate them with the Pam they know (thank goodness) :rotfl:
So glad to have the support of my DFW's here at MSE !

Hi, I have never regretted telling anyone about this site as I have learnt that so many people have debt problems it isnt something to be ashamed of. We are here sorting our debts out and I have become a Debt Bore to Anyone that will listen to me!
I now openly tell my friends about the debt that im in and if they want to know I tell them what Im doing to sort it out. I also do not post anything about anyone else so I have nothing to hide or be ashamed about.
I realise a lot of people are embarrassed by the debts but I truelly have taken the Board Slogan to my heart and Am Proud to be dealing with debt.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 297 - Proud To Be Dealing With My Debts0 -
Provided you are careful not to give *really* personal information away - then you can always deny it. Many people have OH's DS's DD's etc..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
