Tenerife accomodation advice/recommendation

Have flights booked to tenerife end October and would love advice/recommendation on booking accommodation. Seems to lots of sites to use but there is nothing to beat experience from someone who has done this or has been there and can recommend a specific place. We are a 5 adult family so at least 2 bedrooms needed, we like close enough for a short walk to beach and activity and far enough to be quiet at night as we arent looking to party!

We find the hotels and SC in the Fanabe area of Las Americas to be great for adults. We try and stay at Sunset Harbour but it gets pretty busy there. The bars and food can be had very cheap as well. We have booked with bookings.com and onthebeach both have been fineThe common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Los Cristianos is very nice. There's a beach, plenty of reasonable restaurants and some nice shops. Nowhere near as raucous as Playa."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

Probably a First Choice hotel in Costa Adeje0

We keep going back to Marola Portosin
Sort of in-between Playa and Los Cristianos so an easy walk to either
As for who to book whatever accommodation you choose?
I just tend to find somewhere on Trip Advisor or recommendation and then use Trivago to see who's the cheapest agent for it, quick check on the hotel's website to make sure it's not cheaper that way before booking.
Be sure you're happy with any cancellation TCs for the agent you choose0
