PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. I have not copied posts from MSE.
I wasn't aware you had? If you think I said you have, please let me know where and I'll alter my post, it's certainly not what I intended to say and would be a complete oversight :)

Introducing views for discussion is another thing entirely and from my point of view, entirely welcomed!

My point was that it's pretty low when whole posts are plagiarised on an entirely different forum for the sake of picking it apart in such a negative fashion, imo.
Perhaps the enrichment of your cerebral matter is too much for mortal man?
Mortal men have never been able to cope with me :p:D

Threads from other forums are regularly posted on that particular site, with the express purpose of mocking and abusing the posters. And yes, you're right, it's pathetic.

I find that strangely attractive. Unless you're a guy, in which case I'll get my coat.

I'm very much female :D My other half thrives on the challenge, bless him :D
  • Well, I haven't checked this site for a while and I am pretty "surprised" at some of the posts which have been left here.

Firstly, Tiger Green Eyes, Massive and Lynzpower - thank you for your kind words and helpful advice and for defending my honour in my absence  Your posts were exactly the sort of post I was expecting - it might not be what I want to hear but it was said in the nicest possible way.

I don't intend to respond to the others who took this as an opportunity to attack a poster that they have never met and to make assumptions based on a short post. If it keeps you happy and makes you feel better to do this then please do continue.

As some posters identified, I was feeling very shocked and angry when I posted originally. However, I was certainly not suggesting that there *must* be someone to sue. I was asking for advice on this and on my wider situation. Property/construction law/litigation is not my area of expertise.

devil's advocate, I most certainly did not allege that the surveyor had committed a criminal offence. In addition, I was extremely careful not to post anything which would identify my property, the builder, estate agent or surveyor.

To that end, I do not intend to post a link to my property or pm it to anyone (thank you whoever offered).
