I received alot of email messages last night addressed to me using my full name ... I'm hoping its spam but looking for a bit of reassurance please. I have never had a payday loan and would not wish to have one.

Sounds like someone has taken out a loan in your name. Repayments by debit card? Hmm. Easier to spoof than direct debit payments, I guess. I'd be tempted to set the ball rolling immediately by denying all knowledge of this. Do everything in writing. Keep evidence. Good luck.

Oh no, I was hoping for confirmation that it was phishing ... I've checked my bank account, nothing has gone in, no direct debits have been set up but I'm even more worried now. Was hoping that there had been alot of these sent out last night and I'd get a nice reply telling me not to fret

have you checked bank account to see if money is in there? Think best to call them ASAP and return any money, is there anyone in your household who may have applied for you? Partner, kids, step-kids?

I've checked my bank account .... nothing been put in there ... My kids are young aged 12 and under and no step kids. I do have a partner but he's as shocked as me. These emails started coming through at 9.30pm last night,
