Credit Reporting Agencies.

Hi Guys,
Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong forum.
Just a quick question.
Is it possible for someone (not me) to get their credit report without having to give their current address?
A friend would like to know what is on hers, but due to very personal circumstances, she can't let the CRA know her current address.
Is it possible to use a PO box or something like that, or a works address?
Here's hoping,
Dunree.
Sorry, should have put Credit Reference Agencies

Credit reports are linked to addresses, so she will have to give them the address that her banks hold for her. If she has not told her banks her current address, then the CRAs won't know it either.0

Kind of need to know the special circumstances that means that she doesnt want to give her address.
When I previously applied for the paper version I was living at an address that had multiple ways of writing it and Experian acknowledged by request but wanted proof of the differing addresses before it would release the file to me.
She would need to apply giving the address as per what her banks/ credit cards have for her. Alternatively she could use one of the free trials online but still has to use the same address0 -

There are issues with her ex, mail is being delivered by him to her workplace, but it appears to be selective; ie; correspondence from DCA's and the like, nothing else.
She set up a parachute account before she left. Only them, her mobile provider and utility companies know where she is.
Her fear is if she applies for the report, then DCA's and possibly her ex will find her.
Hope this helps,

I know this isn't necessarily related to the problem with getting her credit report, but she could set up postal redirection with Royal Mail to make sure she gets her mail with the ex being selective.
In theory the credit report should get redirected to the new address too if posted.0 -

We're doing Noddle just now, they are asking for CC details.
If she uses her card, which is registered to her current address, will that show up and be available for others to see?Life is now good

Postal redirections require a card registered at the address being redirected from.Life is now good

Assuming the mobile is a contract then the CRAs will have the link already.
If the concern is the report is delivered then get it online instead.
A royal mail redirect is a sensible option but they do send a letter to your old address first - I dont know if there is a way to suppress this in the case of domestic abuse etc0 -

Hi InsideInsurance,
Going from personal experience, RM do send a letter to your previous address. I know, because my ex found out where I lived from this way of doing a redirect. It caused no end of grief and I had to get my solicitor involved.
I think we may have to look at other options
Thanks for your help anyway
