Get yourself over to the consumer action group website where you will find some helpful people who will not judge you.

I actually feel worse than I did before posting on here. Sometimes things happen which are beyond our control and there's nothing you can do about it. Wish I'd never had anything to do with Payday loans. Feel sorry for anyone who is trapped by them.

Well if its paid off then why not give you mother her money back on the 7th that way you are free of PDLs then.

Thank you. I think that people tend to judge because they don't know the full story and probably don't know what it's like to have your whole world turned upside down.

I'll only have £150 on 7th and don't know when I'll have enough to pay her the rest and the deposit that she's lost. Income has reduced by over half for now so I know she'll understand but it's not nice owing her.

I know this might not be that helpful but I found myself in a position to get a PDL, on pay back day they said they would take the money between 5am and 5pm. if thats when your mums money was in your bank it probably was already set up to take it, and they would have only regarded your extension if they couldn't take the money.
even so, i agree what they did was wrong. could u potentially just reborn the extra to sort your mum out until the 7th. after all you technically paid back in full on your agreed date so there should be no problems.

It's the only downside to this forum. Some of them seem to thrive on it have thousands of thousands of posts. Must be quite a sad existence for most of them. Maybe it's a possible new Olympic Sport, kick people when they are down.

We'd certainly be winning for medals if there was one for "Keyboard Warrior" .....

Anyway back to the point, sorry to say OP you may just have to chalk it down to experience as you have learnt first hand how these companies operate. As hard as it might be this month it could be doing you a big favour if you've broken the cycle, try as hard as you can not to take another.

    Well you know now.

And others can learn from reading your story.

Avoid PDLs. Good budgeting and going without stuff is a better course of action.
