    Well yesterday was very productive:

Got the large bedroom's wall prepped for painting - all those nasty little dents in walls, cracks have been filled ready for painting. And also got 1 wall done! Ran out of masking tape, so couldn't do any of the others :P

And once we got back home, got the last of the 3 book cases up, and started filling up my 'portion' of book shelves. Looks like I have a free shelf left - which means yippee I can go book shopping.

NOPE can't do that, NSD week remember :(

Help me to be good, pretty please??????

Task today is to finish painting all the walls which are butter cream, and make lots of calls to plasters for them to come round and give me quotes.

On a side note, confirmed it is currently £12.38 interest / day for the mortgage DOUBLE OUCH.

OMG OMG, my shares they sold, and they sold really, really well.

I bought Domino Pizza shares back in 2002 with my Christmas bonus of £100.

Sold them today (after the shares dividend announced) for £5.28 each for £1,563, (after costs and taxes) = £1,550.75 !!!!! This was 2p from the highest it's been in 3 years and the price has gone down 10p since this lunchtime...

Unfortunately we owe mum £2,500, so this money will not be going towards the OP savings account :(

NB Except for the cat biscuits, it's been a NSD :)

Hiya Booto, no shame is allowed in these threads.

I have had only such a fab start, because of Mr Taxman. I suppose I could have used it to pay workmen to do the decorating etc of the house to be rented and lived leisurely in the new house unpacking gradually

LOL now that I think of it, I wish I had done it :p

Mum is being fab and she doesn't need to be paid back until the other house is ready for renting. "just in case any of those problems become into huge ones" So once it's ready, £500 SO will be set up to pay her back. I can just see part of the shares money going into costs...

Ok tomorrow is going to be a long day:

Got a plaster coming to give me a quote at 9.30, a McD mystery shop in the evening, plus a visit to B&Q and maybe to Ikea if I can find the lightbulbs to return...

CYAOLL (see you all online later)

Okay another NSD day - except for the DIY stuff :)

But got to the other house, and sat down to log on briefly before starting painting and fell asleep instead. CRAP So its more a NPD :(

So R and I have twice the amount of stuff to do tomorrow.

If anyone loves a bit of painting and missing it, anyone fancy giving me a hand??

LOL I am such MF addict already, I punched in the OP numbers into Locus's calculator.

By just these 5 months of max OPs (and no others), we will have cut off 2.5 years off our mortgage term and saved about £7,000 in interest alone!

    MSE MF rules the WORLD!!!

You are so right - once you see what small OP's add up to it's great!

Would love to - unfortunately I have a fence to paint :rotfl:.
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

LOL just realised it's been a week, since I have logged on.

Well I have had 5/7 NSDs (baring the normal DIY). A takeaway today, as I fell down the stairs last night and twisted my ankle, and a 90p feast on a day when I wanted to curl up into a ball with a hot water bottle, instead of needing to be at the house for the plaster to finish the work.

Got some family coming up on Saturday to help out with some decorating, but with 2 / 4 not being completely physically able, it doesn't look it will be a very productive weekend :(

Well the couple who came is like a bro and his Missus (who is a coz) to my OH, did a fab job. Both of us lasses have not been 100% but we did a load of u/c of doors and plain wood.

And the boys prepped a room by sanding down the plaster, filled in any diddy holes and painted the kitchen celling.

So in those 4-5 hours on 1 day, WOW!!

Wished I had no consienous to ask them to DIY on Sunday as well, but as they were also doing their own home, and they had GRAFTED so much, I really, really couldn't .... :(

Since then, I have A Gloss Painting Queen, painting everying thing I can before I think I start thinking of dreammiiiesss... I know they say it's not like smoking glue, but blooming hell, it sure feels like I am not painting after a couple of hours.

OFC other than DIY costs, I have spent £1.64 on NS items (and £45 on weekly shop).

I hope you will forgive me.
