Well, I am trying to find the positives of spending a fortune in January....

    Can you think of any??

Get it out of the way early in the year :D.

As long as you've not formed a habit ;).
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
    :) Mortgage Balance = £0 :)

  • LOL GG, and the exciting thing is, I closed the front door, and NO drafts and I the sound of motorway is quiet :)

    Bliss....

Until I pay the remaining 75%!

And tomorrow, in goes the patio door :)

LOL just realised another downside - I will get less exercise getting up and down to open the door for them :P

Woot, all windows and doors have been fitted (except for the front door knocker), and we have one WARMER house, and

Just in time before all the snow fell - talk about excellent timing.

I have also been tough on us , and even with paying in January £1800 towards windows and doors, we have found another £300.

This makes the 1st month of the year, a MAX paid OP :)

On a side note, this means our MFW target is well on it's way, as we needed to pay on average £250/mth to get to our £3k :)

Am also making a payment of £156.31 into the ISA for this year, which makes it £170.27/£1,000. Doubt I will get to the £1k before April, but we can try.

Woot 2nd of the Month, and paid my SO of £100 extra off the mortgage.

Got to remember, the pennies turn into pounds.... eventually :)

Which to do I put a payment of £330.41 into:

    a) OP on mortgage
    b) ISA payment

    Umm, ahhh, umm, ahhh.

£230.41 to ISA and rest into OP :)

Which makes Feb's OP to £200
  • Just logged to say, added a tiny drip of £64.32 to the ISA fund :(

Talk about making tiny droplets in the ocean...

Droplets this month, more like drippings...

Another 75 as an OP to the mortgage, but as it is March make £344.88 to the ISA, making it over the £600 put into it this year.

£1k target looking less and less likely :(

If I get paid by the mystery shopping b4 then, I will double it = over my £1k target... Fingers crossed

Talk about a highs and lows week:

I love it when I get an unexpected bonus. Managed to make the £1k ISA savings, but also another £16.13 as interest has been added into my account :P

And the low bit is, even the monthly OP of £100 to the mortgage doesn't even cover the interest the mortgage has accurred during that week :( £367.35

Does it even seem worth it ....

I know what you mean a couple of days ago I felt low about OPing and progress, you've just got to look for the positives and know you're making a difference. As sweetdaisy said to me chin up!!
