If you want to prevent your valuable information from being used by crooks to open bank accounts, get loans or take out credit cards in your name.

nothing happens by opening an email, just dont even open attachments in dodgy emails.
even clicking links can be harmless, but dont enter any information within those pages, such as requests for usernames and passwords.0
