I love the Weleda Pomegranate body oil (an HG for me :)).

I'm just starting to use the Weleda Pomegranate eye cream, serum, day and night cream. I'll let you know how I get on with them! :)

I have a cleanser and toner by Weleda that I like but I can't remember the type.

I spent my Boots AC points today :j

I bought the Real Techniques core brush set (http://www.boots.com/en/Real-Techniques-Core-Collection-1403_1252038/)

I bought a half price pair of sunglasses.

I also bought a Revlon faux Chubby Stick in Lovesick (bright pink).

The last thing I chose was the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (http://www.boots.com/en/Bourjois-Magic-Nail-Polish-Remover-75ml_1253870/)

Really happy with everything that I spent my points on :j :j :j

Love love love bourjois magic nail polish remover and I was going to buy the real techniques set. Let me know how you like it! I will buy it, but just need that extra push/convincing

No UU's and No In's, well except for a charity shop haul that included a burberry hat for DH, a lush and gorgeous blanket duvet, GAP jumper for DH, an ASOS top (brand new) and a Dorothy Perkins top for £7 - not too bad, but no makeup IN's.

What an amazing CS haul. :j It's so satisfying to find great things for so little money and help a charity. :D

My first impression of the brushes is that I'm pleased that I bought them. I really like the case as it can be folded to become a stand and it has space for more brushes. It would be great to travel with as it folds into a neat carry-case.

I bought the core set for the buffing brush. I've changed my foundation three times today so that I could test it! :rotfl: I like it so far. I'm trying to perfect my base make-up and it does buff foundation in well. Not an out-and-out rave review (yet!) but much better than the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki I was using.

I really like the contour brush for powder highlighter across the top of my cheekbones. It does a nice enough job with pale blush as well. I'm not convinced about using it with a highly pigmented darker colour though as it's quite small. (I really do like it though!)

The detailer brush is odd. It's too large for eyeliner and too small to usefully buff eyeshadow in. It's good at blending shadow/pencil under the lower lash line. I read somewhere that it makes a good lip brush so Ill try that tomorrow.

The pointed foundation brush is a bit of a puzzle as it's also quite small. It was good for putting powder around my nose and under my eyes. I also think it might be good for blending concealer under the eyes but I have a No 7 concealer brush that I love for that.

The brushes are lovely and soft and are meant to be fast-drying. I've washed them this evening so I'll report back on that tomorrow! :rotfl:

I'm glad that you rate the Bourjois magic NV remover so highly :j I often find that only one or two nails chip and get frustrated that I can't remove just those nails without messing up the rest so I'm hoping this will solve that problem (IYSWIM. Terrible sentence! :rotfl:) If it works it will solve what I call a 'happiness sink' and will be worth every penny! (A happiness sink is a small, niggling problem that seems insignificant but if fixed makes you disproportionately happy :rotfl:)

    What a long post...

I'm sorting through my make up and have thrown away three old lippies. I have also TA a Max Factor Lipfinity. It's so horribly drying that I WNEBA (Fiasco-style certainty on this!) :rotfl:

I'm not sure if this is a phase but I think that shimmery lipsticks suddenly look wrong on me so I've sorted out all non-shimmery lippies into an old Joliebox.

I found an old BS Born Lippy in 'Chat Up Lime' and it's lovely :rotfl: Very summery :)

So much stuff to sort through and test...

Hi everyone sorry not been very chatty this week as have been busy at work and very tired. Had another tiring day today at the beach with DH and the dogs. Unfortunately got sunburnt and have bad head due to too much sun, but it means the Aloe Vera gel I bought last week was needed.

I have 3 UU and one freebie in.

    UU
No.7 Perfect & Protect Intense Serum 5ml - I think this gave me spots unfortunately still have another one in the stash
Dior Essential Eyes Eye Zone Boosting Super Serum 1.5ml - really liked this and managed to get little sample to last a long time
Crabtree & Evelyn Lavender eau de toilette 0.5ml - used it to help me sleep at night find Lavender very relaxing.

    In

Montagne Jeunesse Dead Sea Mud Spa Mask, I also got a 2nd mask for free, but as it was for greasy skin its gone into the beauty box i'm making for one of my nieces for Christmas.

Hugs to everyone that needs them.

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: ARGGGGGHHHH

    Just lost an entire post!!!
Evilsquid & ItizyBitzy - fab hauls, some of those products sound lovely. I hadn't heard of some of them prior to this challenge.

Tokkiandoliver - nice finds in the CS. When I am down in London I can never get any of the really good stuff. I put it down to too much competition. Keep the name of that little shop to yourself, methinks ;)

    Rosemary - :grouphug:

Today is day 19 on no bought INs :j. I want to get to my first month of no bought INs since starting this challenge almost 2 years ago. It has been easier this month with work being so busy. I haven't had the chance to go out and buy. But work is starting to go back to normal so I must stay strong. I have failed in other months at trying this and this is the furthest I have made it. So fingers crossed.

Nothing to report on the UU front.

I did PYON last night - Nails Inc Jermyn St

I will also need to do my toenails tonight too. Did I mention I went to a chiopody appt last week? My first ever. Really liked it and it wasn't sore. I am trying to correct my two big toenails that have become ingrown. What a difference one appt has made already. I have to go back in 8 weeks so they can be "retrained".

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.

one sort of uu - Boots Botanics Skin Soothing Cleansing Lotion - was spluttering and as it's a pump action bottle turning it upside down wasn't really going to help! I had a travel size bottle that I'd decanted some cleansing lotion into ages ago (think it was the same but not 100% sure) so I've decanted the rest of the large bottle into it. I'm going on holiday next Saturday and have at least 2 or 3 cleansers to try (Murad and Balance me freeebies, I think, plus one in a Dermalogica set that I'm taking). I'll use the Boots (if is) until then.

My little No 7 Protect and Perfect (is that right?) moisturiser is spluttering so will be taking the scissors to it soon and then seeing what I've got to replace it with.

  • I feel so horrible for neglecting this thread. All I have to say is that out of the forums that I belong too, you ladies are the best! Very friendly, drama free, and just super when it comes to communication.

I swear I will catch up one day!

I work another 7 days without a day off, then I have 2 days off and then another 14 days without a day off, then off I go on my holiday.
    I can not wait!
