agree. but even then you not bound by law to use them because it preserves waranty! any vat reg garage ysing maindealer parts will still honour that warranty, then you pop into maindealer for the ECU updates etc, and recalls to be done.
appart from that there are a few maindealer only parts that require even 7 year old cars to go and spend the dreaded dealer price and maybe prgram and fitting.0
