hi, does anyone know of where i can get cheap flights to iceland? have been looking and the cheapest i can find is £100 for myself and daughter. as that is to (dontlaugh at spelling!) Rekjavik, i was wondering if there are other airports in iceland that may be cheaper. am ging to continue looking, but any advice would be great! also, will prob be flying from france, but can do it the other way round, eg. scotland to france, france to iceland, iceland to scotland.

Flew into Keflavik and have been all round Rekyavik.

There isn't a great deal to do, every other shop seems to be a takeaway pizza outlet

The absence of greenery is strange; Iceland is effectively a mass of volcanic lava so nothing can grow there.

I'm glad I experienced Iceland but I wouldn't go back.

Any advice that you receive from me is worth exactly what you paid for it. Not a penny more or a penny less.

Sweden is the same, very expensive. Avoid Scandinavia if you want a cheap holiday.

Swedens really not that expensive, ive got fmaily out there and try and get out there at least once a year, the only thing which I found was a tad more expensive than the uk was alcohol, the food is often the same price as over here, also the public transport is faster cleaner and cheaper than over here if you want to travel about.

However things to mindful is that everything grinds to a halt on saturday afternoon, its like our sunday afternoons, and one culture shock which even to this day I cant adapt to is how rude the swedes are, if they bump into you, you will never get an excuse me etc. Over than that its an amazing country lovelly and clean and laid back.
