Can i have 2 current accounts with santander?

Just moving out for the 1st time, can I have 2 current debit accounts for santander? Really want one for personal and one that me and my boyfriend can pay into for bills etc. But both to be debit accounts. Any ideas? Thanks in advance :):)

I have 5. Some people here say you should have 0.

0? But how can direct debit or you pay for anything.

Thanks anyways, was unsure santander let you have more than 1.

I mean that some people here will bad-mouth Santander whenever they see the name. Anyway I only wrote that because the forum said just posting "I have 5." is too short to be considered a real post.

I have two although one is joint with my partner. Depending on the bills you have going out you may want to look at the 123 account for your bills account

Zerog means that Santander's customer service record is so poor that they're a poor choice of bank. My experience is they're little different to the rest: you have to complain 'till you're blue in the face regardless.
But to answer your question, I'm not aware of an upper limit, even though I worked there. They might start declining applications if you had unused accounts but still wanted to open more. I had colleagues who would actively encourage 2 or 3 accounts per customer.

I dont mind santander, never had a problem with them.

But with the 123 account, I cant keep my other normal current account??

Why do you have 5? I used to have 5 current accounts (one for each property) but found it to be more of a problem than helpful.

Can i receive cashback if i am already a santander customer. And i swear i read somewhere with the 123 account you have to not have any other santander current accounts

Yes you can get cashback if already an account holder.

You can have a 123 as well as other current accounts, but you can't have a 123 account if you only have a Santander Basic/Instant Plus account
