Card to improve credit rating with Experian and Equifax

Hi there,
Realise this might have been asked before, but couldn't find a thread.
Checked credit reports on Experian and Equifax. Seems only negative is that I'm not credit active.
So, have applied for Capital One Classic card to start building a good credit history.
Looks like Capital One have only searched Experian. When reporting on how I repay, is it likely that they'll only report that to Experian?
Was hoping that nice, full payments might show up on both CRAs files, because hoping to get a mortgage in next couple of years and not sure if they'll search Experian or Equifax.
Any advice very gratefully received.

Most cards report to all but only search one or two.0

Why only Experian and Equifax? What about Noddle? It's totally free and provides much the same services although you do have to provide a debit or credit card details for ID purposes.
Any card will give you greens on your credit history. If you're going to pay off the balance in full every month then the interest rate is meaningless. I like Vanquis because it's British and they provide a good, personal service. Others like Aqua or some other card.
You should also have a contract mobile phone if you don't already have one.
A bank current account will add to your greens and will report as up to date until your overdraft goes over limit or one or more direct debits bounce. In that case you'll get a red for that month.
Hope this helps and gives you food for thought.0 -
Most companies will only do searches on Experian or Equifax. However in my experience report to all 3 main CRA's; Experian, Equifax and Call Credit (Noddle)0

Noodle are a very poor service IMHO and it's FREE for a reason they've only just updated my report from April.
Equifax & Experian are the winners for the £2 statuary report and at least everything is where it should be.0 -

It's Noddle not Noodle. Noodles are the things we put in soup.
But lenders still report to Call Credit which is Noddle and if we don't have Noddle we don't have the full picture.
Nothing wrong with my Noddle. Are you viewing a cached page? Do you actually have it or are you just yanking my chain?0 -

I've had a Capital One Classic, Progress and Aspire World, they report to Experian, Equifax and CallCredit (Noddle) so will be fine for building history with them all.0 -
Thanks, all! Was worried that I might need different cards to look good on different CRAs. Phew!
I tried registering for Noddle, but they "haven't been able to verify and validate" my identity, so can't provide my credit report. There's no suggestion as to how I can prove my identity. According to the site I just have to wait until they've "made updates to their processes" to "allow more people to be automatically matched", so I was a bit nonplussed with it all. I could drop them an email - it's a bit irritating to think that I can't see the information which they may be providing to creditors about me.
I'm reluctant to take out a contract mobile, because I've got a landline and have been quite happy with PAYG for years. Moreover, work provide me with a beautiful iPhone which I'm allowed to stick apps on and the like, provided I pay for that stuff myself. I simply don't think I use my mobile often enough for it not to feel like a waste of money. Will consider it though - thanks for the suggestion!Just bought a new house with the help of this site!0 -

Noddle....is just a waste of time....never up to date...missing accounts...etc you can only rely on Experian & Equifax...no lender or a handful would search Noddle to give credit to potential borrower.0 -

More or less agree with this, always seems a month behind for me, but all my accounts are there. My electoral roll info isn't for some reason, even though it does appear on the other two (the important ones)
