Help -Flights to Aussie Via Expedia

Options
Hello, I am looking for some advice on where i stand legally with 2 tickets I have purchased through Expedia.

I went through my flight criteria specifically looking for Premium economy tickets. I found the flights i wanted at the price i wanted and went ahead and bought the tickets beleiving they where premium economy tickets. Having received my receipt to my dispare i have found that they are actually economy class seats. I have challenged with Expedia and they agree that there was a hitch on there site but the price dropped and i agreed to economy tickets. Does anyone know where i stand with this. I have asked for a refund but they refuss as its a non refunabled flight

If you go back through the process on expedia the glitch is still there. In the search results its clearly shows the price and tickets are premium economy but then when you select the flight it changes to economy class. ( when i booked i am convinced this still stayed as premium economy but unfortunatly dont have any proof of this)

Any help is appreciated

Thanks

    Did the price drop?

Which airline is it? You can always try to upgrade with cash, though it might be more expensive.
  • Airline is Air France. When you select the flights and it moves to the 2nd screen it says "good news you prices have dropped", I was lead to believe that this was because of an Expedia Offer which was stated on the previous screen and not the fact that the class had changed from prem economy to economy. I am trying to work out how i can add images without it being a http link

    Thanks

Just did a dummy booking for a BA flight and the same thing happens. Looks like a glitch alright. A lesson to always double check the details before confirming the booking I guess.
  • Do you know if legally i have any leg to stand on? Ie miss sell of product? I know i wont get an upgrade but i would still like a refund or at least the difference in price between the ticket i have paid and an economy ticket that i could get alot cheaper

Sorry, have no idea but in any case, my advice is that you try and sort it with Expedia, perhaps by moving it to a manager level. The problem is that the tickets are clearly listed as economy tickets and I can see the point that a price drop of what what I'm guessing was close to £1000 pp should have caused an alarm bell to ring. Have you looked into what it would cost to upgrade with cash?
  • I am still going through the routes with expedia but seem to be getting very little help from them apart from, no refund allowed, They want another 2K for me to upgrade. I know i can get the whole prem economy package cheaper then this!. So the biggest issue I have is yes i may have been a little uncarefull but i was still lead to believe throughout the whole process that i was buying Prem economy tickets. When i went through my booking the 2nd screen still showed prem economy seats even at the price drop ( its obviously now been rectified and seats change to economy now). Its only when i have received confirmation that I have seen that tickets are now economy

Expedia are extremely difficult to deal with, the call centre in India appears to apologise but offer no answers at all. If you believe there is an error in the system, I suspect you may have to sue them, they are not members of ABTA and my experience with them was so bad I would never ever recommend them to anyone. Best of luck

Okay so managed to get a response from Expedia. I insisted I was getting off the Phone until I had a resolution. 1 hour later they agreed to a £500 refund
