    I've been Money Tipped!
    Done that. It brings up the Add or Remove Programmes window with the microsoft alert.

    Am I not doing this right? Not sure how I bring anything up in Notepad?

    can you try repairing the sql server installation and then remove it?

    I don't think it's SQL server actually causing the problem, because the computer won't let me run the Add/Remove programmes option for anything: I just want to remove it to free up space.

    If the temp files can't be found, can I safely just clear everything in the Temp files?
