Lloyds TSB debit card

The design on my Lloyds TSB debit card is of the London 2012 Olympic games, as they are an official partner. My card is valid until June 2015 and I was wondering how long after it has finished will I have to put up with the London 2012 theme? and when they plan on changing the cards design? I would hope they change the design fairly soon after the games but because my card is technically valid until 2015, if in perfect working order, I wonder how I could request a new card with the new design? I'm not one for telling lies so I couldn't possibly ring up and claim I lost my card and I need a new one and I wonder what they would say if I was honest and just said, "The games are over and I don't want a debit card with the London 2012 logo on until 2015, can I have a new card please?" I wonder how many people will be ringing Lloyds TSB with this type of request.

I would imagine they would send you a new one if you want one - it's a routine task for a cashier / CS rep, and unless there's a security issue, they probably wouldn't even care about a reason :T

Is this serious? I have one but as long as it works it really isn't an issue.

Whats wrong with have a few logo's on the card, Not gonna change it either way if you get a new one.

Stop being so picky and just use it.

Torry & pcombo - OK it may seem a small "issue" in the grand scheme of things, but some do like to have something they use every day to have a design they like!

And of course, there's personalised debit/credit cards, and those that just get a platinum amex to look posher than they are...

If the OP doesn't like the card then they should move to a bank that allows personalised card i.e barclays.

Why should the bank or tax payer have to pay for someones noticeable OCD problems.

At the moment I am proud to have and use my Lloyds TSB debit card with the London 2012 logo on it and I will be for a while after. Taking into consdieration my card expiry date is 2015, I just don't know for how long.

Moving banks isn't an option, see my other thread 'Lloyds TSB' posted around the same time as this one.

I'm with Barclays, I have a Premier account but I've never been offered a 'personalised card'.

On a recent advert from Barclays, which I particularly noticed as it was the first one since the scandal the other week. It was offering you the chance to customise and build your own account and choose the apps and account perks like mobile insurance, european travel insurance etc. and at the end it had a personalised debit card, one you can choose your design and picture, whatever picture you want. Phone them and ask them if you want to know about it.

Lloyds TSB Bank will be rebranded as Lloyds Bank by the end of 2013.

So they may not change the card design until then....

If the Spanish card is anything to go by I'd rather keep the olympics one lol
