    I'm back!! :j

Been enjoying my holidays, firstly staying up Newcastle at my niece's house with Steve/Andy/Kit, including lovely meal out with my Big Sis, Brother in Law and Brother, a trip to Carlisle/Gretna Green via Hadrian's Wall and then a visit to see the wonderful MSE'er Grassroots below Glasgow. Once again, she and her family looked after us so well, feeding us, giving us a great laugh and sending us all home with a car load of 1p crackers and choccies ..... oh and chapatti flour too . Then back down to the New Forest to stay with Steve/Andy again and just been relaxing after such a busy week

Planned a coupon shop last night with Steve so we will be going to Toscos later, hoping for some fuel coupons

Really had a great time, lots of laughs, as always with these guys :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hiya guys, not been on laptop as much for a few days so miles behind with everything, and haven't been able to post as keep getting 'blocked' message come up - so hoping it works today. Just found out on Elite thread that any posts with smilies in not working unless using Chrome, so deleting smilies and trying again

Anyway, I had a great time with Steve, Andy and Kit, ending with a visit to Swanage on Saturday for the carnival fireworks which are fantastic, then I drove home late on Sunday evening

I had my hospital appointment Monday afternoon about my knees, but after examination and x-rays, the specialist said that my knees where not quite bad enough for replacement surgery as still a little gap between the bones. Alternatives where carry on as now with pain control and using crutches, etc, or an exploratory camera to check how bad knees are, which could reveal they are worse than x-ray shows or that they are just as the x-rays show, which would mean a wasted operation and always risks with any op. He was concerned at the amount of pain I have had, which I rated at 10/10 at worst times, but agreed to see me in 6 months to review, but if any worse or I can't cope with pain, I am to contact his secretary to arrange to see him again to have exploratory op done.

As I was driving over to Kings Lynn for the appointment, I came across a totally new roundabout and was confused at how that had sprung up, but realised that the last time i was over there was end of June last year, when Alan was admitted very poorly and then transferred to Palliative Care is Wisbech. Got rather upset at the memories so was quite tearful when talking to the doctor, especially when saying that Alan used to do so much for me and now I am on my own. Had a good cry late that night

Anyway, I was up very early Tuesday morning and got washing in as lovely day, and then went out in pj's and cut back all the new growth on the blackberry, tayberry and raspberry bushes as getting overgrown and they are coming out anyway after they have fruited this year. Loads of fruit on them ready to pick and loads more to come

I don't know if I mentioned that I had a bad fall in the hallway after I got back home from my enforced 8 weeks stay up North a couple of months ago, when I fell heavily against a stool and badly bruised my left boob, but the tissue under the bruise hardened as could be expected and I found I was left with a small pea-sized lump in my left breast so I saw a nurse practitioner Tuesday afternoon to get that checked. She said that the lump seems to be near the surface and not in breast tissue and she was 99% certain that it is scar tissue from my fall but that automatic procedure would set in and she referred me for a '2 week appointment' to make 100% certain. saying I should get a letter within 2 weeks with appointment which would probably involve ultrasound scan but not to be worried about the letter as it would probably be plastered all over with breast cancer warning/details

Somewhat reassured I popped over into town centre and had my hair done, a cut and blowdry, and really pleased with it. I have been growing my hair from very short and spikey and not quite sure where it is going at the moment. It has a natural wave, or kink, in it and always seems to kink in the wrong direction lol

Then I got a phone call from Breast Care Unit offering me a cancelation appointment so I went to see specialist, had ultrasound scan, didn't do mammogram as just had one in March, but realieved to find that the 'lump' was a cyst of fluid from my fall, and they removed the fluid straight away by needle - didn't feel a thing and just a slight hardened area there now, scar tissie from my fall, which will go away

I am really impressed at the way this was dealt with by NHS system - put my mind at ease quickly but, had things been different, would have got treatment very quickly. A big thumbs up to NHS on this one

We did have a lovely time in Swanage :j :j Andy drove us over there and back, poor thing was knackered when we got back around midnight. Lot cooler than last time we were there, but still a great time. Eating fish and chips sat on a bench overlooking the harbour, watching two dogs having great fun in the sea. Then walked along to other end of bay and settled down to watch the fireworks - 15 minutes of fantastic fireworks :j

We took Kit back over home on Sunday as she had work to do, and have just been resting today
