Well, I did get a better sleep, though still wake every so often with the pain until I shuffle to a new comfy position. Woke at 6am and had first meds then slept gain till 12.30pm and had second lot then, getting up about 2pm. It was better coming down the stairs but still came down on my bum to put less strain on my knee. I can now walk about by steadying myself by hands on walls, bannister, chair, bench or whatever is handy, putting weight on my bad leg for a short time. And sitting here at dining table is easier too, no longer the stabbing pain in back of thigh and knee, so it is looking good. I still wouldn't be able to walk outside with any confidence as unbalanced but I do feel better, though very tired with meds

I have just made an online food shop order for delivery tomorrow afternoon and my niece is coming round to check on me about 6pm and bringing me a few slices of bread so I can have beans on toast later

Steve and Andy are still coming up on Sunday and I will ask my niece if her hubbie can pick them up from the train station. They have been scheming with Kit on how to look after me :rotfl: :rotfl:Their plan includes staying the week as planned and getting out and about as best we can, then instead of going home by train, Andy will drive my car to take me home and then on to their's so they can look after me and I will be on one level, no stairs. I said let's see how I go and how quickly I heal, but really nice to have them caring so much :A :A Kit was frantic on the phone last night bless her :A

I added Andy on as an extra driver on my car insurance today to take effect on Sunday at noon, so all sorted that way :j

Yes Beanie, the no driving is a major setback :(

I have been checking online Aesop and the waiting list for knee replacement is not as long as I thought, about 6 months I think, but will need to see my doctor back home to start that side of it off. It is just a matter of controlling the pain at the moment

Hello Mrs!!!! I was only a text away. I have done loads of work today am going to chill now. I was just checking to see what the gang have been up to and whether Susan has been squished by the Knights of the Round Table. Am sure they are all still hugging and that's why they are not here. I hope Susan has been resting and is feeling better.

Eeek, is it really a week since I posted on here  :eek: :o:o

Lots happened, but the most important thing is that my knee is much better - not quite :j but definitely :D

It was lovely having the lads here from last Sunday till yesterday. Didn't do much for first couple of days as I was not up to going out but we went to Hartlepool Marina on Wednesday to meet up with a fellow bargain hunting MSE'er WhoopsieQueen and then on Thursday Andy drove us up to Stonehouse near Glasgow, via Gretna Green, to visit Grass Roots, another lovely MSE'er, who looked after us so well and her kids shuffled about to allow us to stay the night. The following afternoon we drove across to see our very own lovely Beanie :j :j

I drove the car for the first time since my knee went to take the lads up to the station yesterday and it didn't hurt, though I could feel the pressure building at the front on my knee. It is quiet here without them today :( but they are coming back up here, with Kit, in July when we will stay at my niece's house while they are camping. We are 'the professional house sitters' :rotfl: :rotfl: Good way for a cheap holiday :j :j

I am glad he appreciates them Beanie - Alan had already promised the History of Rock collection to your DS and I when I sorted out the albums Alan had put by for himself, I thought who would he like to have them, so of course it was your DS. I know I wouldn't listen to any of them myself, though I do love the music on them, I am more a radio girl, listening to random music

Had an uneventful day today, other than dodging rain and hail showers trying to get my washing dry outside, and they only needed aired once I did get them in

I am going to try a trip to the supermarket tomorrow, to see how my knee holds up to driving and walking round the store :j
