I sometimes wonder if its just me being too fussy but i always struggle to find someone who will do a job just right and as you want it for a sensiable price.

And although I hate to admit it the last person that achieved this was a tiler from Poland who did a 1st class job and didn't cost the earth.
Most of the Polish do a first class job for a very reasonable price;)

I have three at the moment landscaping my jungle of a back garden - building new steps, fencing, weed clearing, decking etc......Also another one who services and repairs my car......cost to me - £0 ;);)

(Mind you....one of them is my partner) :D who alo gets discount from his work for materials (builders suppliers)

Seriously - if you're in Omagh area and need any car work done - let me know - the guy we know is a great mechanic and has done a few cars and he's only been here a month.

Straight up and down guy, will price by the hour or quote for the job.
I don't often recommend people on a forum like this but he is a nice guy and he won't let you down. Lives in Belfast but covers as far as Portaferry.
Eddie has now moved to Dromore (Down). He has given me a good quote to do some decking. Will let you know how it goes.

  • Just an update. Eddie has done my decking and some plastering and tiling all of which I am very happy with. Also he didn't put the arm in. He's coming back next week to do some guttering and joinery work. A real sound bloke!!
I'm very happy to recommend him.

David McClean (028 90418865, 07812113738) for the flashing repairs.
Not sure whether he covers Banbridge/Tandragee but I'd give him a shout and check.
  • I have just moved house and have had my nightmare of a garden cleared by a guy with a minidigger. Fir trees, overgrown hedges and an old wall with foundation all gone in no time.
He had a grab on his digger and just plucked the hedges and trees out root and all, something that would have taken me ages, never mind several trips to the dump.
Now i have a blank canvas to work with. He's called robert, u can contact him on 07771885264 he covers newtownabbey area.
  • need a name of someone to lift and turn the soil with a digger, lay some grass, put some decking, maybe some design idea down in Banbridge / tandragee area. any names. on a very tight budget and its a small garden. thanks.

or if anyone has any idea of costs involved that would be appreciated too!
