Following its launch via a 15-date Nationwide tour in spring 2012, a sold-out London residency throughout 2013, and a run of nine late-night shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, The New Wave heads back out on the road.

The New Wave is a cross section of the most interesting and exciting new acts in the country. Following a sold out London residency throughout 2013, and nine late-night shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, the New Wave returns to Manchester on 22nd November.

The Manchester date of this year's tour features MARK WATSON, one of the country's most popular comedians, introducing IVO GRAHAM, MAE MARTIN, CLAUDIA O'DOHERTY, ELLIE WHITE & LIAM WILLIAMS, five incredible cutting-edge acts tipped for future stardom; each of them fresh from widely-acclaimed runs at this year's Edinburgh Fringe.

IVO GRAHAM won 'So You Think You're Funny?' (the country's largest new act competition) in 2009 aged just 18. This year he premiered his solo debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, and appeared on BBC3's Edinburgh Comedy Fest Live. Ivo has a truly unique onstage persona – a potent combination of awkward stage presence and natural wit.

Cult-Canadian MAE MARTIN is one of the most charming performers around. A natural storyteller, bringing together anecdotal musings with razor-sharp one-liners. She has appeared on Russell Howard's Good News, was nominated for two Canadian Comedy Awards, and has three widely acclaimed Edinburgh Fringe shows under her belt.

Having made a name for herself in her native Australia, CLAUDIA O'DOHERTY is now plying her trade on these shores. She wrote and starred in her own series of Channel 4 Comedy Blaps earlier this year, and last year picked up an Edinburgh Comedy Award nomination for her show The Telescope. "Refreshingly original" (Observer).

Character act ELLIE WHITE recently made her TV debut as part of BBC's Fresh From The Fringe, a round up of the most exciting performers from this year's festival. Her show, Ellie & Oscar Share A Time was a snowball-word-of-mouth hit at the festival.

LIAM WILLIAMS - Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Newcomer nominee 2013 - offers one of the most intelligent and distinctive stand-up voices around. Following a widely acclaimed solo debut at the Edinburgh Fringe, and an appearance on Russell Howard's Good News, he has already been commissioned as a guest columnist for The Guardian, and was he too was featured as part of BBC Radio 4's Fresh From The Fringe. "The most exciting act from this year's Edinburgh Fringe" (Guardian).

After a decade of playing main stages of major music festivals such as Leeds and Reading and touring the world with his award-winning alternative rock band, InMe, far from slowing down, he's taking different direction with his music.

For a guy who scored a number one in the UK Rock Charts and shared stages with Deftones, Feeder and Biffy Clyro, McPherson's low-fi acoustic solo work is as far away from his InMe days as you could possibly imagine.

The Card Shark show stars Steve Truglia, an accomplished sleight of hand expert and close up magician. Having passed the notoriously rigorous performance exam for The Magic Circle, Steve sought out long ago hidden secrets within the Magic Circle's incredible library, to further study these dark arts. In earlier life Steve's time with UK Special Forces taught him the use of psychological operations to defeat an adversary; skills which are also used by gambling cheats and con artists to this day.
Tickets are usually over 50 pounds but the show's producer are really keen on SFF feedback. However he has asked if SFF people would be kind enough to at least buy a two pounds show programme for each person who is given a ticket, this is of course optional, but would help support the show, and enable them to continue offering tickets to SFF.
