Sean Taylor has rapidly grown to be one of the hottest new names in the UK blues/acoustic scene. His incredible passion for performance, sheer talent and songwriting of the highest calibre is a testament to his frequent comparisons with John Martyn and Tom Waits.
He has opened for artists such as John Fogerty, Neville Brothers, Tony Joe White, Eric Bibb, Tom Paxton, Tift Merritt and Band Of Horses. He has toured Holland, Switzerland, Australia, France and Ireland.

The past couple of years has seen Sean’s profile rocket with three UK tours and festival performances at Glastonbury, Cambridge Folk Festival, Beautiful Days and many others

In September 2013 Sean's new album 'Chase The Night' is released. The album was recorded in Austin, TX with producer Mark Hallman (Carole King, Ani Di Franco & Eliza Gilkyson) and features legendary double bass player Danny Thompson

Sean’s live show is a magnificent, atmospheric snapshot of Sean’s insight into the world we live in. Beautiful and powerful songs, outstanding musicianship and a truly intimate, yet intense experience. Highly recommended.

The Card Shark show stars Steve Truglia, an accomplished sleight of hand expert and close up magician. Having passed the notoriously rigorous performance exam for The Magic Circle, Steve sought out long ago hidden secrets within the Magic Circle's incredible library, to further study these dark arts. In earlier life Steve's time with UK Special Forces taught him the use of psychological operations to defeat an adversary; skills which are also used by gambling cheats and con artists to this day.

Tickets are usually £50+ but the show's producer are really keen on SFF feedback. However he has asked if SFF people would be kind enough to at least buy a £2 show programme for each person who is given a ticket, this is of course optional, but would help support the show, and enable them to continue offering tickets to SFF.

The Private Ear is set in a London bedsit, where reclusive Bob calls in a favour from Ted, his confident friend, to help him treat his date to a slap up meal.
The Public Eye takes place in a London office, where uptight Charles is confronted by Julian, a private detective hired by Charles to investigate his wife’s suspected infidelity.

Bob expects help. Charles expects proof.
But in this darkly comic double bill nothing is as it seems.

Join Oxford’s finest musicians for a celebration of the music of JS Bach.

The University of Oxford’s highly-praised professional Orchestra In Residence perform the composer’s delightful Harpsichord Concerto in A with virtuoso Mahan Esfahani. An honorary member of the SCR of Keble College, Esfahani has been praised by The Times for his ‘daring and fiery performances’ and described by Opera Today as ‘the leading harpsichordist of his generation’. He is also the first harpsichordist to be named a BBC New Generation Artist and to be awarded a fellowship prize by the Borletti-Buitoni Trust.

A performance of Bach’s sublime Cantata ‘Nach dir, Herr, verlanget mich’ will illustrate why the world-famous Choir of New College, Oxford, and their director Edward Higginbottom are rightly renowned for their expertise of the Baroque repertoire. Bach wrote more than two hundred cantatas, which incorporate some of his most magnificent writing and cover the entire gamut of human emotion – from grief to joy. Bach’s jubilant and enthralling Magnificat in D, performed by the choir with the superb musicians of Oxford Philomusica, promises to bring the concert to a memorable conclusion.

A series of hour-long relaxed concerts designed to appeal to people who would like to know more about classical music. You can bring a drink from the bar and enjoy the LMP’s world class musicians as they talk you through a piece in their upcoming programme. Conducted by Hilary Davan Wetton, the second programme in the series will take you through Vaughan Williams’s Fifth Symphony, and you’ll be able to hear the piece in full at the end.
