Hi
Hope everyone pre this post is doing well!
Not sure what Bankrupty invovles as such but if my partner's ex does it does anyone know where that would leave him mortgage wise? Would they place some kind of charge on any equity they may have in it and would that be restricted to 50% as it is jointly held?
Thanks and good luck to everyone
Hi Lynn, I would post this on the main board as Solventsoon says as I'm not 100% sure of the answer.
Best wishes

Hi everyone - my update as promised......
I had my court date this morning and guess what? I'm NOT bankrupt! After all the fretting and crying, I didn't even get to see the judge. The clerk at the court was concerned that my debts are all 'old debts' in that the last time a payment was made on them was over 6 years ago - she thinks they may be statute barred and unenforceable and has advised me to go away and think about whether I really want to spend £700 in this way. What really annoys me is that aside from a the CCCS, my husband had paid a company £300 to do all the paperwork for me so that there weren't any mistakes and they never even brought this issue up. As I reported yesterday, I changed the figures on my SOA to reflect exactly what we spend rather than their inflated figures. He is not a happy chappie. neither am I if I'm honest.... I have made a tentative appointment for next week as after then, the courts are full but I have the option to cancel. Any advice?? I know statute barred debts are unenforceable but as they still remain on file I would surely have the same balck marks only this time, they will never go - unlike Br when they eventually can be tidied up?? I would be grateful for your thoughts please.
Hi oddydog, Wow.....that is terrible and I am sorry
I know a site that specialises in UE and if you go to my profile and click on my homepage it will take you straight to AAF forum, this is free advice too.
