sra regarding the post clicking on your link i'm not sure what i'm supposed to be putting in there as regarding username or password do i need to create one for the router0 -
Get rid of the AOL bloatware using this program. As superscraper says, why do you want to disconnect, just leave it connected i.e. "always on ADSL"
Your kids connect to the router, not directly to AOL. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

i had been reading about unplugin the router but a lot of views was leave it plugged in as plugin and unplugin could knacker the router any advice well received:beer:0 -

I think my router came with the default username: admin and password: password but you might have to consult the documentation that came with the router0 -
yes you need to change the default username and pw on the router. that will stop anyone hacking into it and messing up.
do it now!

Missed this question
Aol actually recommend that you create a new screen name just for the router to use in its settings. That way you never have a conflicts if you do decide to use the software. But it's not the case that you have to have the software on any computer.0 -
have you encrypted it yet (to stop the neighbours connecting).
