Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Just managed to rescue the dry washing - the heavens have just opened
Done my gardening job at a neighbours, took 30mins and I filled their green bin! Will have to go back and do some more but I'll need to take my bin with me, good job they are on wheels lol
DD and DS are totally k-nack-er-red after yesterdays day out so a peaceful day here as they are too tired to do anything [even argue]
LW - take it easy :]
I'm now waiting for an Ebayer to let me know when I can collect a blanket box from her, cheekily offered a tenner for it and she said yes :]]

thank you so much for posting this Dusty you have managed to make me cry 'happy tears' for the first time in a very long while. i hope he continues to progress and go on to a full recovery now he is back with his family. i hope the day home is a happy one and is the first on the road to being allowed home for good

thank you all for the very kind words of sympathy

Walk is off tonight as part of the path was covered in nettles - they stood as tall as me and seeing as I was wearing a T-shirt I wasn't going through them to see if it was any better further on. Besides which I would have had to cut them down or something before I could have taken the Beavers there so it's on to plan B - which I haven't decided on yet!

I need to wash the dishes, put the WM on, hoover up and numerous other things so anyone fancy joining me for a HHC @ 3?

  • Hi Juliejim

I'll join you for a HHC - just give me a couple more mins to post this!

Had terrible night coughing again, but still feel a bit better again today, which is good!

Followed the lists today and changed the bed, damp-dusted bedroom, S&S bathroom & kitchen, put WM on and got washing out (it then rained for over 2 hours - only just stopping!), then I printed out all the flight paperwork - we fly off a week on Sat - please let me me well - for niece's wedding in Spain. Sorted all the documentation out -plus money - so that part is done. Should have got outfit ready by now, so that is my objective this weekend.

Usual breakfast for birds, cat and us, OH tidied a few bits up and got lunch.

Good news Dustykitten, how lovely for Ed's family, and hi Vanilla, it sounds like you are doing well. Good vibes for Lamewolf, you take it easy and enjoy the time with your new doggy when she arrives! I hope everyone else is doing ok, good vibes to you too, especially any newbies.

Well, 7 minutes late, Julie, but here I come!
  • Hi Julie and Bossy -how did you get on?

Confession time - mine was '20minC' as I've just watched our canoeists get Gold and Silver!!!! Our sportsmen and women are doing us proud - and what professionals they have been, well done!!!

    In my 20 minutes I:
    Cleared up the lunch dishes
    Tidied kitchen surfaces - again
Wiped out fridge (OH just going to get a bit or fresh food in)
Dusted lounge & tidied up some mags & papers

So we are reasonably straight - am going to try and do an hour's intensive clean in each room from Monday to get us straight for going away.

Hope you are enjoying the sport! R x

    In my hhc I

Rehoused upstairs gibble to respective bedrooms
Quick swipe of too small trousers from DS cupboard
Tots woke up, cuddle with DD
    Put away laundry
    Brought tots downstairs
Put a wash on, DS old winter coat and too small trousers (going to friends little boy if they fit, on Saturday)
Brought lunch tray down, we had a picnic before nap in DS room...
Washed up, s&s and made a cup of tea.

After my cuppa, I'm going to scrub the kids table as DD has drawn on it (will give her a baby wipe to help) and DS wants batteries for the little house mum got from carboot, he thinks it's got a doorbell...

Then it's time to think about what's for tea! DS said sausages arrghh he refused the ones I made at breakfast... Lol
