On most devices, unless they were specifically designed to work with the iPad, you will probably only be able to get at the photos on the iPad. If the HDD recorder can view photos on a USB memory card, then it might be possible to look at your pictures.

Forget about anything else with these two devices.

As suggested above, Apple TV is worth a look, but you need to study very carefully which of it's features require what other devices (e.g. do you need an Apple desktop/laptop to get at recorded material?) and also how expensive what you might want to use is. Nothing is free with Apple.

HDMI cable adapter would let you connect direct to your TV (if it has a HDMI). The iPad 3 works really well on a TV.

Thanks a lot, I will research this option too.

No, I can't find the manual.

There's an online version at Panasonic's UK website. That's what I was looking at.

The HDMI adaptor will output via that to a connected device. Works well on my TV, but never tried to output it into anything like a HD box. Try it maybe? Certainly a cheaper option to buy, over an apple TV. You might even get a cheap copy off ebay of the hdmi adaptor to play with, over buying the expensive apple version.

Only issue is, not every app will support full screen. Apple bundled apps of course, does. However apple bundled apps are limited, and frankly other Apps work better, for example films (no need to convert etc). Some of the TV apps are hit and miss as to whether it's full screen, or ipad screen size. I can live with both I guess, i have to :D

Thanks. Had a quick look on amazon, do I need a HDMI to HDMI cable?
