Hi all, sold my partners old phone and lots of peel offs and cards on 3bay making my new total... £170.08 it's slowly going up, may pluck up the courage to do a carboot next weekend if I can find some stuff to sell, very hard finding time with the new baby, does anyone have any tips for the carboot? I'm really not very good with people and get all hot and flustered.. My nickname in high school was beatroot as every time the teacher or anyone spoke to me I turned bright red :8 *shivers*

I can't help with carboots as don't have a car, but think might have something for shyness when talking to people.

Get there nice and early so you can set up at a leisurely pace.

The first people to go round and look at your stuff are other traders, they'll try and snap it up at a bargain price early. Be wary of them, if they want to buy your stuff they can wait till the normal browsers have had their chance (as they'll usually pay a bit more)

Take a chair, standing up for hours isn't fun. If outside, take waterproofs, a thick jumper and sun cream - you never know!

A radio is nice to pass the time, some traders read a book, but i think this puts off buyers a litte.

braddy, just before you are about to speak to someone, hold your spit in your mouth. As you concentrate on holding the spit and talking to them, you will forget to be embarrassed and you won't blush. Your body can't cope with two emotions at the same time.

Not such a great day at the car boot. Took quite a few old toys, kids clothes and the like. Had hardly any sales and only sold £5 worth. However, went to the cash4clothes thing and managed to get rid of a bit more for another £5. Well - at least it's £10 in, not out:rotfl::rotfl:

Moneyspider I have changed 3 vouchers so far this time. Petfood, frozen food and small electrical and I didn't have to put any money to it except for my hoover as that was £48 (£20 voucher doubled to £40 & a £4 till spit for spending over £40 so I paid £4 cash). So I would check with them.
    Jan £10 a day £326.75/£310

that's what I thought! You should only have to put money towards it, if you don't have enough in vouchers. complain to customer service, you may get a gift card out of it MONEYSPIDER

I've jut ordered another £30 of Amazon vouchers from Dooyoo....

I'm counting them now because they'll be here by the end of the month.... (Famous last words I'm sure)...

Bringing my total up to £189.00

I've had a few sales on flea bay but it's driving me mad that people take so long to pay.....

I like to time it so I SHOULD be able to go to the PO say twice a week, but no joy.... Thye pay in dribs and drabs, why buy something on-line and then take 8 days to pay????

    Stashbuster - 2014 98/100 - 2015 175/200 - 2016 501 / 500 2017 - 200 / 500 2018 3 / 500

I am doing terrible this month after a great month last month!! Trying to muster up the energy to list on ebay, but not doing very well!!

Saved £5 on one of Little Man's Bday Pressies using the ELC Birthday Voucher, also had enough on my Costa card yesterday to cover lunch so £10.20 saved there!
