Iphone4 server problem

i have just deleted the eschange account and re set it up i used the same passwod as my ntl email account and it still says
password incorrect
enter the password for the exchange account "exchange"
and below that it says
password ( you have to enter it ) and then below that cancel or ok
HELP !!!!!!!
YES I HAVE CHECKED THE PASSWORD BUT IT NOW SAYS CANNOT GET MAIL THE CONNECTION TO THE SERVER FAILED
ARRRG !!!!
I gonna try deleting and rea dding the exchange account

OK reading this post on virgins forums says that to fix it you need to enter an incorrect password, it will then say it's incorrect again, then enter the correct password and it will then work.
If that doesn't fix it then I'm fresh out of ideas.

have deleted the exchange account and re added it. still getting cannot get mail
the connection to the server failed

when this box comes up did you try inputting an incorrect password, then when the box comes up again input the correct password?
