Good evening everyone, So the story continues...
The last 24 hours have seen a re-education back towards the MSE way of life. I know where I am going wrong and what I need to do to get back on to it again SO.. Spending diary is firmly in hand (and in my handbag) and is about to be updated for today. Banking is about to be checked and budgets drawn up!!
I work shifts, which leaves me very little time to do any extra money earning, the landlady situation has left me with nothing let to sell and as such i think a wee bit of "thinking outside of the box" may be required here. This road to being debt free is going to be one of overtime where work allows, an increase in salary by regaining my previous career and budget budget budgetting!! I have seen mention of a challenge, every penny is a prisoner, think i might need to investigate me a bit of that!!
Thanks so much to everyone for all your support so far. and lovely to see some of you againoff to catch up and have a read of some diaries!! lots of love to all xxx

HEEEEEEEEEELLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! :T
Life is brilliant , thankyouWell, other than the horrible hours Pepe has to work trucking around the UK delivering dead chickens
but he is well and truly on countdown to leaving work for our BIG move in January - only 1 more bank holiday to work and 7 more Sundays :T
Plans are well and truly being planned - the utility room is full of empty boxes and the spare room is full of stuff like a big satellite dish, a bubble wrapped wood burner and 2 solar panels behind the sofa in the living room :rotfl:
We are hopeful for courgettes, just been so wet. Lots of potatoes, garlic, broad beans on the allotment at the moment though and lettuce from the garden.:T
Oh, and that little matter of getting married in just over 2 months!!I'm missing my previous alter-ego, doesnt feel right being here and not being her.
We still call you your alter ego - to us you are always her"Stay Wonky":D

Good afternoon one and all!!
Well I have been relegated upstairs whilst the other half does a telephone interview downstairsso i am taking the opportunity to do some sneaky money saving.... I have to be honest, it is sooo tempting to listen, but i am trying my hardest not to, I am also trying my hardest not to go downstairs and shout "STOP SAYING ERM!!!" at him!!! :rotfl: Seriously this could be the big break he is waiting for, I hope he cracks it I really do.
Well, today I have been a very good little money saver. :A
I admit, I have spent £30 on a PT session, however, and peoples opinion is welcomed here, I see it as a necessary expenditure.
I am currently, as mentioned before, right on the cusp of retrieving my previous career, The last hurdle is a fitness test and medical. Now I run, ALOT!!:cool:however I don't run fast, and even though my cardio fitness is top notch, I physically cant run fast enough to pass the last 2 legs of the fitness test. The training sessions are developing my running technique with running drills, strengthening for my core and glutes, with the ultimate effect of making my running faster. :j no i cant afford it right now, however the financial and job based reward will make the expenditure much more than worth it in the long run. What would you do? is it worth struggling to spend out once a week to reap the long term goal or is it better to save now and try to teach myself? help!!
So where does the good little moneysaver bit come into it i hear you ask? well, I went to morrisons, I picked up a bunch of flowers and put them back. I picked up 2 packets of qu*rn sausages, realised i didnt need 2 before friday when i next get paid so put one back, got into the hang of checking prices and going for the BOGOF's, realised that "Buy 3 for £2" sometimes isnt the best deal going, was i going to buy £3 anyway? or have i just cost myself another 75p by buying 3 when i didnt need 3?? :rotfl: Those who remember me previously will remember just how obsessive i was with shopping and prices and deals. I feel the old me awakening.. SH*****!!!!
I have also budgeted for this Fridays pay day, should be able to shave £350 off that debt total including between £50-£100 off the £650 in 100 days challenge :T
So, how is everyone spending their day? come chat?:DCurrent debt at 30/07/2012 19.479!! 06082012 19119 :T

Just wanted to stop by and say 'hey'
Couldn't resist commenting on your first post...I am settled, living with my other half, in a location i would NEVER have thought i would find myself living in, surrounded by gorgeous hills, countryside and trees (and a little country pub just down the lane!) The other half is amazingly supportive of me and to be honest, I couldn’t have got through the last 3 years financially without him. Like many men he can be my best most absolute friend one day and a horrible nag the next but, for now, i wouldn’t be without him ;-) I work in a job I love, and am in the process of trying to get back to my previous career. Keeping fingers crossed as I am on the last hurdle!!
Yay! Aw nearly brought a tear to my eye!!(Yes I am that pathetic!!! :rotfl:) Unbelievable how things can change in the space of a year! And definitely for the better for you
Have to laugh at your shopping!! Pick up. Put back. Pick up. Put back. Finally leaving the shop with the 1 item you went in to get! :rotfl: Always have to say to myself It's only a bargain if I actually need it lol
And 'how is everyone SPENDing their day?' may be very appropriate for those who just got paid!! :rotfl:Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
OOOHWEEEEE I have a medal!!!! how silly to still get so excited by such acheivements. Money saving me is back whoop whoop!
Well I am now laying on the sofa, having a rest, OH has gone to work and the house is looking dandy. back to work in 2 days, bah!
HeadAboveWater thats not pathetic and thank youYes what a difference indeed. This time a year ago I was lodging with a very good friend, 4 snakes a tarantula and a crazy cat (who had a nasty habit of creeping into my bedroom and making me sneeze!) Privacy was at a minimum and the battle with the landlord had only just commenced. I was battling hard for a job up here so that the weekly commute and battle with the dreaded M6 would finally be at an end and now.....Here I am. Privacy in spades, a Job I thoroughly enjoy and a man I love madly. The only down side is a bit of loneliness in being so far from friends and family, but hey, you cant have it all
How very true is that saying! I think TBH thats how most supermarkets make the most of their profits, they make you "Think" its a bargain even when it is nothing of the sort! I remember seeing in a not so supermarket a few weeks back... 3 for £3.50.when I added it up it was a saving of 6p!!! but heralded as a brilliant deal! :ROTFL:
Gosh i'm getting boring in my old age... wheres the wine :beer:Current debt at 30/07/2012 19.479!! 06082012 19119 :T

Welcome
No apparently you can't have it all. I'm basically in the same boat (minus the random pets when I lodged!!) and now miss my friends and family, but happier than I've ever been in my lifeHow very true is that saying!
