Huge iPad data plan deal with 3
Hi,
Just a quickie to let other Forumites know of a pretty good iPad data plan deal that I secured with 3 yesterday
I'm currently with 3, but needed to up my data allowance so decided to change to Orange (who are currently offering 3gb data + 10gb through BT wi-fi for £15 pm on a rolling 30 day contract).
However by using the old 'I'm gonna switcheroo trick', 3 offered me 15gb for £15 pm, also on a rolling 30 day contract.
They are also 'upgrading' my old micro-sim, which they tell me will increase my connectivity..... Am I right to be cynical??
The only words of warning that I'd give are that the 3 call centre is VERY hard sell.
Still, 15gb for £15 a month without any substantial contract seems as good as anything I've heard.
Cheers,
Jon

But why? With WiFi almost everywhere, I'm finding it almost impossible to make the fullest use of my 3UK data allowance - there's not much point for paying for something you're not going to fully use. When you remember WiFi is considerably faster than the (variable) cellular offering, it might be better to start small. PAYG is also equally good value.0
