Morning All,
Hope everyone is well, thinking of you Lou x
Well...eventful weekend, not in a great way, but hopefully things are all sorted now.
Pup has gone with ex for the week, so i'm pottering around all lonely, may start talking to myself! Going to sunday lunch at my local with my best friend. His fiancee is pregnant and I'm going to need to have a conversation to tell him to 'man up' i think....
House could do with a little bit of a tidy, which I will do at home point, and then thats me for the weekend!Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Morning all. I have been up for two hours but just couldn't drag myself out of bed to do anything useful. Our TV is on the fritz big time (top 1/3 the screen is now permanently flashing lines), it's over 15 years old so it's about time and I do not intend to replace it. If I had my way we would have no TV or TV license.
Will clean bathroom and work on paper today. May dig out more stuff for ebay and pack another box.
Still living off ys so dinner is pasta for oh and soup for me. I had no idea pea and mint soup would be so simple to make- tin of mushy peas and a bit of seasoning. I will have to try it.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
Thanks everyone. I'm alive and breathing if that counts as ok. Thanks for thepms. I will reply when I am more chatty"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0

Good Morning All
((hugs)) Loulou and anyone else who needs one.
Been MIA againbut popping in and reading whenever I can.
Loved the Olympics Ceremony and caught a little bit of the gymnastics yesterday but was out at work most of the day.
Lovely and sunny here at the moment but nice and fresh too. Have cleaned the kitchen, hoovered all downstairs and done 2 loads of washing so far. Not going to write myself a todo list, just potter around. Lasagne for dinner tonight.
Thats if for me. Hope Mikey is ok at the pool Jackie.
Have a great day all.x0 -
Morning all, wet and windy here today so a quick walk for me and Jack. I must attack my kitchen today and give it a good clean:eek:
As I spent the day out with some friends yesterday I have no excuse not to do it. Must also look in the freezer for some ideas for dinner.
Hugs to all in need esp Lou sorry to hear you are feeling so down, hope you can get some support. Hope your finger is better soon Tru and saw the pics on Faceb**k FB looks like you had a good time. Mornin' all.
Good grief – The Wolf on MSE twice over the weekend?? Unheard of!:D
Monnagran just read of your encounter with Watson; he sounds delightful, and I'm guessing he's the difference between his human friend battling on, or giving up entirely.:o
Tru OMG – your poor hand! I hope you don't end up having to remove your wedding ring! Mine is loose enough on my finger, but I couldn't take it off if I wanted too, as the knuckle is permanently swollen. Shame about your eternity ring; can you get it repaired at all?
FB well done you on helping out that poor teenage lass.:A OMG, I remember when I started (many, many years ago) I knew literally nothing; I thought I'd somehow injured myself! And all my dear(!) mother could do was tell me off for making a mess! Well, that's one young lady who will be grateful to you for the rest of her days, methinks!;)
Bramble don't worry about talking to yourself; I can have full-on arguments with myself – and lose!:DOur TV is on the fritz big time (top 1/3 the screen is now permanently flashing lines), it's over 15 years old so it's about time and I do not intend to replace it. If I had my way we would have no TV or TV license.
Lou hi Sweetie, glad you've put your head above the parapet, at least.:o Posi-vibes comin' atcha!;)
I must be the only person here just about who didn't watch the Opening Ceremony. I also seem to be one of the few who has zero interest in reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Are these two facts connected, I wonder? I'll bet some scientist, somewhere would say they were.:rotfl:
Lemming;) cake currently in the oven cooking - first time I've made it, so fingers, legs and eyes crossed, please, everyone.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
tru wow that's so much i am officially jealous! what caused your fingers to do that?
It isn't that much really, I weighed them before I shelled them :rotfl:
My fingers had swollen a little bit because of the heat, but I think I must've pressed the ring into my finger when I was carrying things about IYSWIM and it scraped the skin. Then it must've got dirt in it as I carried on working. The wedding ring is rounded on the inside, the eternity ring is more squared off on the inside (but not sharp). Not sure I explained that very wellThe redness is almost gone, just have to wait for the skin to heal and swelling to go right down before I can get the ring fixed.
LW it should be able to be repaired easily, it doesn't have stones all the way round, there's seven and the rest is like a gold band. PIC if you want to seeBulletproof0 -
Goodmorning Redruby and all,I must be the only person here just about who didn't watch the Opening Ceremony
No LW i didnt watch it either. I would have done if hubby hadnt been at home but he was in a foul mood and making him watch it would have made him even worse..... I did catch the queens entry via the helicopter via youtube though and found it very funny.
Got all the jobs we needed to do yesterday thankfully as well as taking Scooby the chinchilla to the vets. I'm concerned about him as he isnt eating or drinking and i'm keeping the little man cool but he seems very lethargic. The vet gave him an injection of fluid to help hydrate him and a shot of antibiotics which did seem to help last night but he's still not eaten anything. Its hard to tell how he is today as chinchillas are nocturnal and as they are usually asleep all day he doesnt seem any different but its odd to see him huddled up a corner when he is usually in his hidey hole (it might be the heat though). Anyway, we will see how things go. Its down to him now. He's 9 so he's not in the first flush of youth. I'll be sad to see him go though and even sadder thinking of the thought of disposing of his body if he dies this week because hubby will be miles away... I dont 'do' dead things.
Ive pottered round the garden, watering and feeding the plants. Fed the men and its beginning to rain. Shame really as ive just put the washer on.

Tru it's a lovely ring; I see what you mean, should be easily fixable.
Judi healing vibes for critters is something I "do", so bucket loads of 'em coming Scooby's way.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
