The Awesome August NSD Challenge

I just joined the MSE community gain after a long absence and need to right my ways with money. So I think I take part here too but start slow as not to demotivate me by trying too much. Please put me down for 15 NSDs in AUGUST. I won't count bills like milk man, mobile, leccy, mortgage etc that come off my account but everyday frittering and grocery shopping etc. incl bus money as I want to cycle to work more
P.S. Mmmmhhh, maybe I aimed a bit high with 15, but will try anyway. As I want to leave my wallet at home when I work and we don't have a corner shop near our house i hope to manage.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Thanks to everyone involved in running this lovely thread.
I still miss jinty....
My 'absense' has been rather enforced unfortunately :mad: E-mail alerts were mostly getting through but if I tried to come on to the site, everything went weird *Oi! I mean with the poota! Most folk here have experience of my personality (burbleburbleburble)* Then, because I couldn't get on mse, I lost you for a couple of monthsso I too, have missed the likes of Jinty, Cheryl, Nargle et al. Here's hoping they are hunting out yet undiscovered mines of nsds for us to plunder
Good Luck with your Endevours Fellow NSDers & I shall pop in when I can.

Hello everyone
I would really like to join. I'm pretty new to the site and working my way through a tough couple of months.
I've approached my oh with the idea of either no spend saturdays or no spend sundays. At the moment I can make 2 or 3 trips up the shop on a saturday alone. We will pop out or buy the kids something. Then start all over again on sunday. So its decided that on one weekend day we won't spend at all. If we know we have a function of some sort the opposite day will be our NSD. Eg we have a christening in August so NSD will be the sat.
I'd like to go for 8 NSD in august.
We really could do with 30 nsd in august lol. We're desperatly trying to make it to September when I start earning again but it is really hard.Total debt £6242

August already:eek::eek::eek:
Will be tougher this month as I've seriously cut my budget being as I finish at work shortly and nothing else confirmed except for a few days freelancing so might end up with some little unbudgeted spends.
With no credit cards to fall back on I have decided that July and August's pay has to last to the end of September in case it takes too long to get another job.Will still set the target at 20 and 5 in a row.

I'm going for 20, please, however I'm not going to include cigarettes. Sounds like a cop out, I know, but I always pick up sweet treats and other stuff while in the shop buying cigarettes.
