scammed by a 1256 Ebayer with 100% feedback

Soolin, the person left negative feedback for all these cases and have checked address and parcel was sent to registered account. Paypal will refund the buyer and Royal Mail will refund but it just infuriated me
Have spoken to ebay and they say they will look into it.
For me, I think I will have to claim from Royal Mail as all I can go on is buyer saying they havnt received parcel and if they want to delve into this persons activity then it will be up to them. But my main point was to make sure people are aware of what can happen and just because someone has a good feedback score it doesnt mean they are squeaky clean.
Thanks for peoples input, am going out now so wont be able to respond till later in the day.0 -

I don't really have any sympathy for sellers who fail to use recorded/special delivery.
I on the other hand don't have any sympathy for people who waste 95p a parcel on the off chance they might meet a scammer.
The only good thing about people using recorded is it makes my items look so much cheaper in comparison, and since I send an average of 100 items a month I save myself £95. Yes there are scammers out there, but very few and far between and if i honestly thought everyone was a scammer I would not bother selling online at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Maybe try to call their bluff - ask them to confirm their address and say you notice that they seem to have had issues with receiving items of other ebayers.
Maybe they don't realise that other sellers can see this info.
Then a few days later you could say that you've contacted their local delivery offices to investigate where the parcel may be. Maybe say that they couldn't find one, but they often see parcels for that address or something.
I know it's not entirely morrally right, but it might be the kick the buyer needs to reconsider.0 -
bit like shops that dont have security on the doors deserve shoplifters?
well-observed custardy. agree with soolin, sending via resigstered post is a waste of money - have had many an item show up at my door sent this way without ever being required to sign for it!
sorry for yr unpleasant experience o/p, thanks for reminder that 100% fb can still protect scammers. scammers also protected by ludicrous rule of "private seller who has hidden fbk". i know at least 2 con-artists/shill bidders still trading behind their "privacy on fbk"0 -

Ive learned my lesson, I dont sell much on ebay so its all new to me. I dont want sympathy, Id just like to pre warn other people and hopefully they wont fall for the same scam as me.
thank you for the other help/input from members

If all the eBay sellers report as not received by the scammer RM will surely look into all the parcels that do go "missing" to that address0

I still rely on Google 'street viewing' the address, then decide if it's best to 'surprise' the buyer with enhanced proof of delivery.0

So the poorer the area a person lives in the more likely they are to be a scammer.amcluesent wrote: »I still rely on Google 'street viewing' the address, then decide if it's best to 'surprise' the buyer with enhanced proof of delivery.
I have to say im appallled tbh.Just because someone has more money to live in a decent area does not automatically make them more honest than someone that doesnt.Wasnt that how the class system worked? the more you had the better you were.0
