The incentive is not to be reliant on other people footing the bill for your existence
them days went along time ago , like i have said pride or a conscence doesnt excist as we clearly see by bankers and our mps and not to mention other national organisations such as the police , and it carnt because you wouldnt survive in this era right or wrong it dont matter as greed for money the easy way is the thing to do at the moment , i will put it bluntly...if i had the choice of 2 jobs both paid me £1000 a month , 1 job had no overheads but the other had a £200 per month overhead..running my business which 1 would be more benificail to me to buy food and pay bills ???0 -

I struggle with your command of English.
Living on a benefits is not a job. So lets just get that straight. You're not comparing like with like. You're actively encouraging people to scrounge off hard working folk in order to carve an existence. You and your like are what's wrong with this country. I can't see why you have your own business when you think its ok to sit on your backside and let everyone else pay the bills0 -

im just saying how things are, im not encouraging anyone to do anything , i am soley stating the situation based on financail situations, i do say if someone is better off on benefits then i dont blame them for choosing that option and think to take work that pays less is stupid ! i only go to work for money and if its unfeesable whats the issue ? nobody is really bothered were the money comes from and i dont personaly give a monkeys if the uk is in debt or whatever other problems it has , it doesnt change anything for me0 -

So you basically condone the view that its ok for someone to live at the expense of others. Im bothered where the money goes because its my money and I've worked hard for that money. I don't want it going to someone that can't be bothered to work because benefits is more advantageous to them0 -
I think the point people are trying to make is that £40 a week better off a week, wont stay £40 a week better off for life. Once in your new job, it is then up to you to work hard, progress, take in-house quaifications so you move up the career ladder and earn more. It is called having ambition, you will never know if you don't try.8k in 2015 Challenge ( #167)0

well if you think like that , its going towards the bankers bonuses which you bailed out , its going to fight pointless wars abroad, its going to aid other countrys when theres people starving here, its going towards mps expenses for gardeners and cleaners , its going towards councilors who get massive pensions and massive redundances payments, its going towards university students to educate them so they can earn more money than you and towards benefit claimers ... take your pic0

yes £40 might be a insentive for some , but others may feel more would be more beneficail , this depends on every ones differant circumstances of course, but there must be bigger financail insentive to dump benefits for work otherwise things will never change, to move up the career ladder to become more expensive to employ just to be dumped (made redundant when it comes round)to leave you in finanacail turmoil......... have i heard that one before .... yes a million times0 -
Well that's life, we just have to get on with it. Sometimes we have to take a good hard look at ourselves, and ask " are we worth more? " if you dont have much experience and hardly any qualifications you can't expect to demand high pay.8k in 2015 Challenge ( #167)0

i agree with alot of what people say , BUT you cannot hide behind the truth and how it really is, i no people that started off at the bottom from benefits , worked hard and just got in such a mess they lost there homes etc by redundancy , as to they wished they had that easier less worry day to day living on benefits and now end up bankrupt etc, there is no doubt its a fact that everyone will be made redundant at least 3 times before retirement if starting there careers now and will rely totaly on benefits at some time to fully support there finanancail expenditure0
