My friend's took out a Tesco Mobile contract and he's been charged less..

..he agreed to pay £34 a month and gets a free Samsung S3, but Three mobile are now only charing him £22 a month (which is down to £18 due to him paying through direct debit) and he still got his Galaxy S3 for free.

I told him he may have to return the phone due to the mistake, or at least expect them to ask for the money difference owed in a lump sum in future when they cotton on, he thinks i'm wrong?

What is the law here anyway? He's already had the phone for over a week and has been happily using it, and has already paid his first amount.

Just trying to stop him from getting in trouble, if there is any chance of that.

Part of the Furniture 10,000 Posts Name Dropper Xmas Saver!
he forgets the £34 is in the contract he signed
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.
  • Well I said that, but I don't know whether he has to actually return the thing or expect to pay more. Should he be informing them, or is it their mistake?

He's had a letter from Three come through stating that his pay monthly amount is only £22. So I dunno how he's managed it. TBH, am jealous if it works out for him lol

Tell him to put the extra aside in a saving acccount every month then when the contract finishes and he's never been asked for it you can all have a party/go on holiday or buy something cool.

If they ask for it meanwhile he's got it without worrying.
Don't grow up. Its a trap!

    Peace, love and labradors!

If he actually took out a Tesco Mobile Contract as suggested he would be billed by Tesco Mobile and not 3.

Sounds like he took out this 3 Contract at/via Tesco Phone Shop http://phone-shop.tesco.com/mobile-phones-and-sim-cards/pay-monthly-phones/Samsung-Galaxy-S-III-Blue-2546a0c2-f89b-4dbd-9a5b-db662e432184 and the billing has been messed up.

Or they may have him on a different tariff to the one he thought he had . He needs to check tariff out online.
