How to replace Blackberry

My blackberry got soaked and recovered for a short time, but now it is completely dead. It looks like I can get a second hand one from Amazon for between £60 and £80. Is there anything I need to beware of? My sim is on Three, and a contract.
Thank you
Thank you

Not if it is unlocked. Otherwise you can unlock it yourself for £1 and apply any firmware updates. You can also choose to install the Three version of firmware on the phone if available.

The one I have is an old 9000 and I don't really mind what model I get to replace it, so long as its pretty cheap. I don't understand what firmware is or how I would install it. Thank you0

No problem. I can talk you through it if and when. Very easy as long as you can install the BlackBerry DeskTop Manager.
Which model did you see for sale?0 -
I have got the desktop manager on my laptop. I have a nasty feeling that all my contacts and stuff are now locked forever on my dead phone....
I am looking at an unlocked curve 3G 9300 @ £80 or a bold 9000 @ £75.
Both are unlocked and on Amazon.
Thank you for your help

Ooh ooh. Seems a miracle has occurred.... The phone has suddenly sparked into life. I took the sim out and put it on charge in a kind of last ditch attempt. Do you know how I save my contacts so that when it does finally die I can transfer them to another phone?
Sorry tobe such a granny about this

Use the BlackBerry Desktop Manager and choose to back up all of the contents.0 -
£99.99 from carphone warehouse and unlocked on p&gDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
