Not recently no (apart from this bill obviously) in the past yes, i was homeless and struggling to pay off previous bills, a few instalments were missed, a few £ less was paid, i have always kept in contact with them and told them whats going on, they have always been helpful and friendly allowing me to reset up the instalment plan, this time, nothing! I didn't even realise the bill was due let alone missed! i will have to borrow the money tomorrow and pay it off in full, i can't live with the worry of debt collector coming to my door, I am only just getting things in order (well, i thought i was!!) since being homeless (through no fault of our own) with a 5yr old child to keep warm and safe and sane, this really is unneeded stress and worry :( Thank you for all your replies :)

" If payment is made but then missed for the subsequent bill, our debt recovery process will now start from the point where it stopped previously"

would seem to have come into play.

Only option is to phone them and see what they have to say.

If we’ve not received payment within fifteen days of the original bill being issued, then a final notice is sent out automatically.
That is a seriously stupidly short period. Often utility bills take 5 days to arrive and payments can take several days to arrive, leaving less than a week to scrutinise the bill. Anyone who takes a fortnight's holiday becomes a bad payer. Which makes 'bad payer' a meaningless term.
