Breakdown Cover that comes with Insurance policies

I've got my motorcycle insurance through IAM Surety and I also took out their breakdown cover. I'm out with my brother as a pillion on his bike which now won't start after we stopped for lunch. Unfortunately I've just discovered he doesn't have breakdown cover and despite messing with things I don't think he's any nearer getting it started.

Does anyone know if the breakdown cover that I took out would cover me on my brothers bike. I doubt it will as I'm pretty sure that these policies are linked to the bike not the person, and sadly not anticipating a breakdown I don't have the policy on me, but it would be good if someone could confirm this either way as I don't want to waste the credit on my mobile phoning them unnecessarily.

Why don't you ring them and find out?

I have cover with Autoaid and it's me that's covered not the vehicle, don't know if other policies are the same.
