Hi ppl.

Missus contract is up with Three and she is going to a PAYG phone elsewhere.

Contract ends 16th August and has got her PAC so when should she use it?

I guess they will bill her for 30 days regardless but wondered if someone can confirm.

Cheers

You will get billed for the 30 days so use it towards the end to minimise additional costs.

They should be counting the 30 days from the date she gave notice.

So to get the best value out of the last month, time the completion of the PAC to around day 28/29.

Absolutely. Most get the code and and the shift takes place immediately. as Quentin notes, do this towards the end of the validity period of the PAC. Personally, I'd do it from day 26 to prevent a delay making it run the risk of expiry.

    Thanks guys

As her contract expires on the 16th of August, I guess she should provide the PAC code to the new provider around the 11th/12th to maximise.

Otherwise if I've got this right she will get the number transferred to new PAYG provider but still get billed by Three until the 16th?

and prepare yourself for a barrage of calls from them (I had six/eight yesterday, they'd try first on the mobile then house phone)
