I've always been with Orange, my contract is ending. Carphone Warehouse has the phone I want and the best deal - still with Orange. You would think it would be easy to transfer my number, not at all, Orange is making it very difficult saying I have to have Pay As You Go for about 3 months. I'm exhausted and frustrated talking to Orange on the phone!!

What phone, what deal and what minutes/texts/data do you need?0

Edit: Trouble is that you want a deal for new customers but you are not one - all networks are the same in this respect. Request your PAC code and then try and negotiate for the same deal when they try to convince you to stay. If you dont get any joy then port it to another network PAYG and then sign up for the new customer deal and port pack to ORange.
You can port onto a different network PAYG and then back to Orange within days.0 -
I am a complete naive simpleton when it comes to mobile phones. Carphone Warehouse has offered a Samsung Galaxy SII with Orange panther for £20.50 pm. I don't want to pay anymore and they have sent me the phone. As I said I thought it would be simple to transfer my number. I really can't understand why I'm treated worse than someone who changes their provider. I'm thinking of taking the phone back to Carphone Warehouse and finding another deal with another provider, except I like the Galaxy (can't afford the new one, nor do I need it!).0

What Latecomer said - take the phone back and ask for a PAC code and be surprised at the difference in attitude from CPW/Orange.0
