Don't have a HB nearby, but when we pass one we normally go in for a wander.

Lots of useful bits and pieces to be had. I picked up Neutrogena moisturiser at £1.99 and my DH got heat pads for his shoulders for less than he would normally pay. We also look out for the Bissell carpet cleaning shampoos that are much cheaper than anywhere else.

One opened just down the road from me, from what I saw they're very good for toiletries, clearly if a rival supermarket has a great offer on they might be cheaper but usually the likes of home bargains will have better prices on shower gels, shampoo, toothpaste etc.

Also chocolate, crisps, biscuits, sweets etc.

Then random items really, I don't buy much else from them.

I use to work at Home Bargains. They do constantly change stock, as it's stuff that mostly is closer to expiry date than usual. Usually still has an ok date though, well mostly.

In the Chelmsford HB today there were loads of dirt cheap Olympic stock - Mandeville soft toys just 59p, 8 colour pen & keyring 99p & lots of other things more than twice the price at Sainsbury's on half price!

Princes or John West 4 pack of tuna are usually £2.99 at HB. Unless the supermarkets have them on offer, they charge as much as £6.99 for the same and even when on offer, it's usually only reduced to £4.
